8 Cents

Two to a stamp
One for a drink

I had but a nickel
To sit down and think

Two to a pen
One to a paper

I had but two cent
No more to be spent

One for the mailman
One for a scotch

I had not a penny

Just one thought

One shot.

    If only a shot of scotch were just a penny. Great poem though. I look forward to reading more of your literature.
